My Story
About Me
My wife and I have lived in Colorado for over 8 years since graduating from College. Our son is almost 2 years old and is a great joy in our lives. We thoroughly enjoy all that colorado has to offer with its hiking, skiing, boarding, and general outdoor beauty. Enjoying a beautiful life!
About 6 years ago a bad Realtor really messed up a huge investment for me. I was buying my first property to fix and flip. The realtor I was working with had some fancy software that showed my what a home was going to be worth after I put a bunch of work into it. I lined up all the work before the closing date and got it all done in less then a month. The home needed a new kitchen, flooring, and lots of other little things. As I was finishing the work I asked the Realtor to get ready to put it on the market for sale. He proceeds to tell me that he can’t list it for what he told me before. In fact he told me that he would only be able to sell it for $20,000 less then he had told me before. Needless to say I was upset and in trouble.
I decided then and there that I needed to become a Realtor because pricing a home and figuring out value shouldn’t be that hard. I hated the car salesmen mentality that I saw in the Real Estate industry, and I thought this needs to change and real people need to get in the industry and shake it up. So here I am now a different kind of Realtor with some pricing experience to help me understand my Sellers and Buyers.
Education is the key to selling a home. For both me and my sellers. I start with educating myself on the neighborhood, the features, current homes for sale, current homes under contract, and homes that have recently sold. Then I look at my sellers home and educate them on what I have learned so we can make a pricing decision together.
With buyers I work the same way. We start with financing options and learning what type of loan and payment would be the best for the buyers. Then we start looking at homes and narrowing down neighborhoods and styles of homes. I expect the process of finding and closing on a home to take 1-3 months.
My philosophy is that every situation is different and may need different marketing and strategies to either sell or find a home. I look forward to any questions I can answer or help I can give. For me it is a joy and passion to help my clients with their real estate needs whether that be selling, buying, or investing.
